Islington
Choral Society is a diverse and friendly group of people
who share three things: an enjoyment of choral music,
a desire to perform it well and a sense of identity with
their fellow choir members.
|

We
extend a warm invitation to anyone who might like to join
us – if you are interested, please come along! Seasoned
choral performers and first-time singers will be made equally
welcome. Come to any rehearsal and try us out. No audition
is required.

Come and hear
us!
Islington
Choral Society performs three times a year at a range of
venues, mostly within the Borough of Islington. From old
favourites like Handel's Messiah to
new challenges like Fanshawe's African Sanctus,
from Rutter's soaring Gloria to
Mendelssohn's majestic Elijah,
from the peace of Fauré's Requiem to
the liveliness of Orff's Carmina Burana,
our repertoire is varied and exciting.

Rehearsals
PLEASE NOTE: From Tuesday 5 June
2007, our rehearsals will be held at Highbury Baptist Church,
41a Highbury Place, London N5 1QL. It is 3 minutes walk from
our old rehearsal room at Christ Church. From Christ Church,
take the footpath down between Highbury Fields (football and
tennis courts on either side) as if going to Highbury & Islington
Tube. Highbury Baptist Church is on the corner of Highbury
Fields, where Baalbec Road joins Highbury Place and Church
Path.
Our next rehearsal will be on Tuesday 11th September 2007. But
don't forget Summer Singers in the meantime!
